Act! 7.0 - New ways to manage your business!

Now using more powerful SQL (sequel) database backend.  No sequel server required.  No sequel knowledge required for maintenance or customization.

One user to one hundred plus users. Five records or hundred thousand plus records.

Two versions - Standard and Premium; Premium for more than ten users.

Premier version - Control record visibility by individual user or teams of users; Outlook-like features for scheduling groups, checking contact availability and physical resources like conference room; network database syncs in real-time, no network sync management required.

Contact or Company centric.  New Company tab for managing related contacts.

New sync - vpn and http/internet (Premium); sync all Act! files including templates, layouts, attachments!

Tabs - more customizable; move or remove tabs like Sales/Opportunities, Groups; sort tabs in any order; stack tab headings to avoid scrolling to the right; notes and histories appear on separate tabs; new Documents tab replaces Library tab and handles unlimited attachments; Secondary Contact tab to easily associate secondary contacts, assistants, vendors, family members to a contact.

  · Customize new kinds of activities, not just calls, meetings to do's; attach files to activities.
  · Lookups, easier, faster; standard lookups include less than and greater than; create new contact from blank lookups; lookup on contact, not just first name or last name; locate secondary contacts; advanced queries are wizard based, no longer require query writing skills.
  · Build-in record merger to merge duplicate records into one.
  · Integrates with MapQuest.
  · New kinds of fields including multiple email fields per contact; unlimited memo fields; picture fields.
  · Easy export to Excel.

Act! Link for Palm OS and Act! Link for Pocket PC ready to go.  No release date yet for Act! for Palm.  Tentative release date Nov/Dec.
